Man uses vacuum to steal coins

On April 12, 2011, in Crimes & Criminals, by Weird

40-year-old William Logan, of Lincoln, Nebraska had a brainwave. Unfortunately he neglected to take the surveillance cameras into account.

Logan would go to several apartment laundry machines wearing a backpack. In this backpack he had a vacuum device.

He pried open the coin tray, plugged in the vacuum and sucked out the change.

Police released surveillance photos taken from the laundry room and three people came forward to say they recognised the petty criminal as Logan.

Logan was subsequently cited for suspicion of misdemeanor theft. It is unknown when he will appear in court.

Officials say he no longer had possession of the vacuum when they arrested him. Logan has three prior theft convictions in Lincoln
